Stewardship Resources
The Baptist Foundation of Alabama, along with it's ministry, the
Kingdom Stewardship Alliance™, has developed a variety of resources
to equip church leaders with the tools for teaching the biblical
message of being stewards of our estates.
We know that about 7 in 10
Alabama Baptists do not have a will. If the Bible teaches that
God is the creator and owner of all things, then NOT planning one's
estate would illustrate a lack of real understanding of what God's
Word says on this element of stewardship. By understanding the
biblical foundation for preparing an estate plan, the process becomes
a spiritual exercise rather than a mechanical assignment.
As followers of Jesus Christ, we need a different view of the
rationale for preparing a Christian estate plan. We should
consider viewing the process as an important act of good Christian
stewardship.
As truthful as the above paragraph's message, church
leadership, in many cases, shy away from this Spiritual message. We
realize pastors and church leaders are not prepared to deal with
estate planning or leading members to make a planned gift to their
local church and/or other Great Commission ministries. Church
leaders can now teach the biblical message and call on other Christian
professionals to assist in the mechanics of planning. This is where
The Baptist Foundation of Alabama can help.
Alabama Baptist churches, until now, had virtually no
teaching aids that would help them to fill this tremendous gap in the
church's stewardship ministry. Resources such as Big Jar Giving,
LegacyLinc Online, FoundationLinc Online, and the Bible study,
"Stewarding Your Stuff" are available to any Alabama Baptist Southern
Baptist Church. Alabama Baptist have free estate planning and
Planned Gift creation services through The Foundation.
The Foundation’s Core Belief is that first and foremost
God Owns Everything. With that understanding, what we do with our
estate is an act of financial stewardship and of great Spiritual importance to
the Believer. It is our experience that once God's people understand
this important biblical message, they are able to view the estate
planning process through the lens of Christian stewardship. And, they
act! The Foundation's sole development effort is to partner with
the local church in bringing tools and resources to leadership and
providing a process that help their members design a Christian estate
plan that can also benefit the local church.

stewardship. These books cover general stewardship as well as
implementing a ministry of planned giving in the local church, and
estate stewardship.
As followers of Jesus Christ, we need a different view of the
rationale for estate planning.Consider viewing the process as an
important (and perhaps final) act of good Christian stewardship.
