The Foundation expands its ministry to serve as a resource for
Alabama Baptists and Alabama and SBC ministries. The Foundation is
an Alabama registered provider for Charitable Gift Annuities and is
a member of the American Council on Gift Annuities (ACGA).
Foundation staff continue professional designations in the areas of
planned giving and estate planning matters.

The Foundation began a new focus on helping the local Church
teach an often overlooked message on stewardship - planning our
estates.
7 in 10 people will die without a will. These statistics are
unfortunately the same whether one is a Baptist or not. If we truly
believe the message in Psalm 24:1 and other verses that God is the
owner of all we have bee blessed with, then we will conclude that
what we do with our estate assets is an act of stewardship. In fact,
this is perhaps the single largest act of financial stewardship any
of us will ever undertake.

The results are in for the ministry to the local church since
beginning this ministry in January of 2005. In just 16 of the more
than 3,200 Alabama Baptist churches, more than $128 million in
immediate and planned gifts have been designated by fellow Baptist
who have discovered the significance of planning the estate through
the eyes of a steward. Of this amount, more than $785 million is
designated for the LOCAL church. When God's people hear, understand,
and then apply biblical principles to estate planning - ministry is
funded.
We are excited about the possibilities of this ministry and are
already making plans to expand this initiative through implementing
and ongoing ministry with the local church. For more information,
