Lawton Webb joined The Baptist Foundation of Alabama in July 2024 as Chief Administrative Officer. Lawton oversees, or is involved in, many aspects of the Foundation’s ministry, including trust operations, scholarships, investments, and estate administration. Before joining the Foundation, Lawton served as the VP of Finance and Controller at Joe Hudson’s Collision Center for eight years. He helped facilitate the company’s growth into several new states, including over 150 new locations in a private equity-backed environment. Lawton has served in various capacities in both private and public accounting over his career, he is a licensed CPA, he has a degree in Business Administration from Auburn University, and a Master of Accountancy from Auburn University Montgomery. Lawton is an active member of First Baptist Church Montgomery, where he has served in leadership roles and participated in several mission trips in both local and international settings. Lawton and his wife Rachel are licensed foster care providers through the Alabama Baptist Children’s Home where they primarily provide respite care for foster families. Lawton has been married to Rachel for 18 years, and they have three children together.
